HKS GT-R Legamax Exhaust System
HKS Legamax Exhaust for the 2009 - 20010 Nissan GT-R.
A-Spec Performance now offers the Legamax Exhaust for the GT-R you have the option of either:
TIG Weld or Flux Weld
TIG Welding provides a stronger bond and in some cases it has to be done when the welding is initially started. Both types of welds (Flux / TIG ) are viable in this case and it really comes down to the appearance of the product. For highly visible products, bead appearance can form with MIG/Slick/Flux welds which is why TIG is used by the welder for a better appearance. And in some cases TIG has to be used as the first weld in the piping joint which is way off topic... :)
All in all TIG was used for better weld quality in regards to "visibility" which is why it is more expensive, Flux model is used where an extensive smooth un-beaded weld look really isn't all that important which makes it less expensive. In lamest terms in regards to this exhaust, TIG or Flux welding is a cosmetic preference, nothing more, nothing less...
For performance... There's no difference.... We provide both options for you to choose below.
The Legamax Center Pipe
The GT-R Legamax Exhaust system consists of just the rear half of the exhaust system or the cat-back half. It does not come with the center section to complete this exhaust you also have the option to add the center pipe.
This is where we say "The Legamax Center Pipe is for OFF ROAD USE only" but when do you guys ever listen to us...
